Sharon Strickler Sanchez
Sharon Strickler Sanchez serves as Executive Producer of the story ballet Gaspar – A Pirate Fantasy.She has experience in the areas of choreography, dance, dance instruction and authoring dance books.
Her love of dance began at age six. Sharon, along with her sons Rylan and Ross were part of the 1994 production of Gaspar – A Pirate Fantasy. In 2009, Sharon’s family, through the Sanchez Family Foundation made the commitment to bring the ballet back to the Tampa Bay Area and to donate the proceeds to the American Red Cross (Tampa Bay Chapter), Operation Homefront (Florida Chapter), and Drew’s Shoes — a charity designed to provide dance shoes to children in need in the Tampa area.
She has served as a dance instructor at numerous dance academies including;
The Rowland School of Dance, The Dance Studio, and the Bay Ballet Theater (Tampa, FL). She is also a certified Zumba Instructor. Her experience includes work with the Bay Ballet Theater, (Tampa, FL), Kingwood Dance Theater, Florida State University Dance Studios Theater, and the Tallahassee Civic Ballet. Sharon is also a competitive ballroom dancer and has won Top Bronze Performance at World Promotions Dance Competition in Naples, FL.
In addition to her interest in dance, Sharon developed a career in the Interior Design field. She is owner of Absolute Design of Tampa Bay.
She is a graduate of Florida State University where she studied both Fashion Merchandising and Dance. She also holds a degree in Interior Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She holds a certificate as a Master Accredited Staging Professional and is an Expert Window Fashions Professional.
She and her husband, Richard, have three sons and reside in Treasure Island, Florida.
