Captiva Saloon Owner — Gina-marie Battista
Gina-marie Battista began her training with the Harrisburg Dance Conservatory under the direction of Forrest Gehret. During her training she studied with the Atlanta Ballet, American Academy of Ballet, amongst others.
In 2005, Ms. Battista began studying at the Boston Conservatory where she performed works by Luis Fuente, Murray Lewis, and also started her own choreographic career. She finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Wright State University where she also danced with Dayton Contemporary Dance Second Company under director Shonna Hickman-Matlock. Upon graduation in 2009, she moved to Chicago as an apprentice of the Luna Negra Dance Theater of Puerto Rico where she enjoyed performing the role of Lucy in Nana Badrena's Dracula.
