Christina (Ward of the Viceroy of Tampa) – Adrianna de Svastich

Christina (Ward of the Viceroy of Tampa)- Adrianna de SvastichAdrianna de Svastich, a native of New York, began her ballet training under Leonid Kozlov in Ramsey, New Jersey. At the age of 14, she was accepted to The School of American Ballet in New York City, where she trained from 1999-2004. She has also attended various summer programs with American Ballet Theater, Miami City Ballet, and the Royal Ballet School in London. 

 

 While a student at The School of American Ballet, she had the opportunity to perform with the New York City Ballet in George Balanchine's Serenade and Susan Stroman's Double Feature. Ms. de Svastich has enjoyed dancing with the Pennsylvania Ballet since 2004, where she was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2009. Her performing experience with Pennsylvania Ballet includes: George Balanchine's The Nutcracker and Ballo Della Regina, Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake, and Matthew Neenan's Carmina Burana. She has also choreographed two original pieces, Street Scenes in Hong Kong and Salvador. Ms. de Svastich was also featured in the Natalie Portman movie, Black Swan. In addition to being a member of the Company, she is currently a history major at the University of Pennsylvania.
