Gaspar Ballet Success Yields $60,000 to Local Charities
Gaspar A Pirate Fantasy made its return to the Tampa stage after a 16 year absence raising $60,000 for local charities.
The ballet, performed to enthusiastic, near capacity crowds at the The Straz Center Sunday evening, was an artistic and popular success. To note as well, The American Red Cross Tampa Bay Chapter, Operation Homefront (Florida), and Drews Shoes will share the proceeds. Nearly a dozen local companies helped fund production with the Richard and Sharon Sanchez Family Foundation and BlueCross BlueShield of Florida providing key support.
